TFC’s Second Container of Medical Supplies Valued at 399 Million FCFA ($659,293) in Route to Douala, Cameroon!
TFC has once again demonstrated its unwavering dedication to improving healthcare in Cameroon. Just five months after successfully shipping a 20″ container of state-of-the-art hospital beds to multiple hospitals across the country, The Friendship Circle (TFC) has partnered with the non-profit organization Colors of Roses Foundation, Inc to send another container filled with medical supplies worth over 399 Million FCFA to more than 30 hospitals in Cameroon.
This generous shipment includes a wide range of medical supplies aimed at enhancing patient care. Among the items are prenatal vitamins for pregnant women, chewable vitamins for children, unisex power readers with various strength levels, as well as separate power readers for females and males. In addition, the container contains essential pharmaceutical products like levothyroxine sodium, used to treat hypothyroidism, and denavir, a medication for cold sores and fever blisters.
Furthermore, the shipment includes ChloraPrep Applicators, crucial for disinfecting the skin and preventing infections during invasive medical procedures such as injections, catheter insertions, and surgeries. Sildenafil, a medication for erectile dysfunction, is also part of the donation. Additionally, the container holds isolation gowns, level 2 maxi-gard, for use in the ICU and other intensive care situations outside the hospital. The iVisor Shield Blue, a reusable visor and shield kit providing full-face protection against body fluid splatter, is also included.
All of these valuable medical supplies will be donated to beneficiary hospitals free of charge, with the aim of improving the quality of care for patients. This initiative reinforces TFC’s commitment to elevating and enhancing the healthcare system in Cameroon.
