About

A Brief History

The Friendship Circle was established in 2015 by a group of friends from Cameroon with diverse backgrounds and professions. Its inception was as a social club, providing support during significant life events such as baby showers, weddings, and more, while also promoting professional growth, social bonding, and community service. Over time, the membership expanded to 25 people who offered mutual support during events like weddings, baby showers, birthdays, funerals, job sharing, and professional development.

A turning point for the organization came in April 2018 with the passing of one of its members, Mr. Charles Bisong (Charlo Biz Biz), to cancer. This tragedy ignited a new mission within TFC to give back to the community and make a positive impact in any way possible.

The Friendship Circle transformed into a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in the State of Maryland, with the aim of raising funds in compliance with the law and offering tax-exempt benefits for donations. TFC’s community outreach primarily focuses on empowering young people through executive conferences, skill-building, and competitions, and finding investment opportunities. TFC’s charity efforts include donating clothing, shoes, food, home and hospital equipment, and merchandise to orphanages and other needy centers in Cameroon and across Africa.
